Robert Clemens
Robert ClemensTreasurer
Robert Clemens currently serves as the Director of Facility Operations overseeing custodial,
maintenance, grounds and athletic center services for Princeton Day School in Princeton, NJ.
Robert started his career in facilities in 1992 working for New York City Health and Hospitals
Corporation running boiler plants, chiller plants and other building systems in a health care
setting while attending and completing a 5 year apprenticeship in the International Union of
Operating Engineers for Stationary Engineering as well as earning his New Jersey Electrical
Contractors License.
In 1999 he took on his first role as a Director of Engineering for a long term care center in
Brooklyn, NY. In 2001 Robert opened his own contracting firm in New Jersey and with a team of
professionals performed electrical and HVACR contracting, until his return to health care in 2008
working as a Regional Property Manager for Genesis HealthCare and Care One.
In 2013 he moved to Pennsylvania to take care of family members and in 2016 joined Packard
Hospitality Management as their Vice President of Facilities and Construction for hotels and
resorts across the country.
In 2018 Robert returned to New Jersey working for Windsor Health Care as their Vice President
of Plant Operations, eventually leaving the healthcare environment and joining academia in
2019 in his current role with Princeton Day School.

I have been a member of APPA for over 20 years and served on various committees and
assignments for International APPA as well as various regions and chapters throughout the
country. I have supported initiatives for membership and student chapter development,
standards & codes, professional development, and regional meeting hosting. I have also
authored and supported various publications eorts including books for the APPA
Bookstore, articles in Facilities Manager magazine, research projects for the Center for
Facilities Research (CFaR), and chapters within the APPA Body of Knowledge.
I am looking to continue my engagement and service to the APPA community as a member
of the NJAPPA board serving the members of our chapter. I feel my experience, both with
the APPA organization and as a facilities professional, enable me to add value to an already
eective team.
