Rider University invites applications for a Manager of Mechanical Services who will plan, coordinate and manage the mechanical activities on both campuses including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, mechanical and infrastructure. Individual will also: manage various contracts related to the daily operation; use work order software and Microsoft Office Suite, to plan, monitor and evaluate assignments and the completion of work; and work in conjunction with the Director of Facilities Operations and Executive Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction to maintain an accurate inventory of mechanical needs and assist in planning for mechanical repairs, replacements and upgrades.
Qualified candidate must possess 10+ years’ of demonstrated mechanical experience in planning and supervision of systems in a higher education environment.
Individual must also possess: strong analytical skills; long and short term planning skills for mechanical systems; experience in building preventive maintenance schedules; experience in maintaining life safety devices; and a valid driver’s license. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
